N1 Lab

概述

N1 Lab is a website and Progressive Web App for JLPT N1 grammar and vocabulary study. The current version has no account system, developer-hosted backend, or remote study database.

Study records stay in the browser used to access N1 Lab. Website hosting is provided by Cloudflare Pages, so ordinary website requests are processed by Cloudflare separately from the browser-local study records described below.

Study data handled by N1 Lab

N1 Lab stores the user's study activity under browser localStorage keys beginning with n1lab:. This may include:

• grammar and vocabulary review state and scheduling;
• notes and favorites;
• the current day's study task and progress;
• other local study preferences used by the PWA.

Browser-local storage

Study data is associated with the n1lab.pages.dev browser origin. It is per browser and per device and is not automatically synchronized to another browser or device.

Workbox/PWA caching stores App assets needed for installation and offline use. Those cached assets are separate from the user's localStorage study records.

Export and import

• Export creates a JSON backup from N1 Lab localStorage and downloads it through the browser at the user's request.
• Import reads a JSON backup file selected by the user, validates its format, and restores its n1lab: entries to localStorage.
• N1 Lab does not automatically upload the backup file to goldBug Studio. The user controls where a downloaded backup is stored or later shared.

Hosting and third-party services

N1 Lab is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When a visitor opens the site, Cloudflare processes network and request information needed to deliver and protect the website, which may include IP addresses, traffic-routing data, and system configuration information.

The current N1 Lab source and package dependencies do not include an advertising or analytics SDK.

Data transfer

N1 Lab does not send review state, notes, favorites, or today's task to goldBug Studio or Cloudflare as application data. Ordinary requests for the website and its static assets still pass through Cloudflare Pages.

Retention and deletion

Study records remain in localStorage until the user clears site data for n1lab.pages.dev or the browser removes that storage. Removing an installed PWA icon or shell may not remove the browser origin's stored data on every platform. To delete the study records, clear the site's cookies/site data or storage in the relevant browser settings.

Downloaded JSON backups are separate files. They must be deleted from the location chosen by the user if they are no longer wanted.

Children's privacy

N1 Lab is an independent study tool and is not directed specifically to children. It does not knowingly collect children's personal information through an account or study-data backend.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated before a published N1 Lab version adds materially different handling such as accounts, cloud synchronization, analytics, or advertising.
